Mine must be in the UTU as well. I often will just answer her questions with crazy answers... such as what color is that light? and I will say, dump truck. She gets a kick out of it, although then she continues with other things to see what I will say.

Oh my goodness, I am glad to hear we are not the only ones going through the repeated question phase! It is driving me CRAZY! K asks the same question over and over again, and stupidly, I answer over and over again until I realize, "Hey, didn't I just answer that same question five times in a ROW!" Aarrggh. Thanks for the laugh, now the next time I want to run from the room I will just remember this post and laugh about the UTU. :)

I hope UTU will obey their new rules, however, I am not real positive on this issue. In your personal case, said toddler is so independent I am not sure she will pass the new rules when they come up for a vote.

I have one to add---

The said toddler must demand to dress himself all the while yelling, "I can do it myself!" (thanks Calliou). But they can't do it themselves so it has to be done all over again while toddler yells "I can do it myself!" And then as soon he is dressed, said toddler must poop in his diaper or underwear so mom can do it all over again.

NOTE TO TODDLER*** This will have much more effect if mom is running late for something.
